About Us

Our vision is to foster and maintain friendships, encourage a mutually beneficial service, and ensure equitable opportunities for everyone. We provide exceptional quality services, focused on delivering enduring social success for participants, and acknowledging that sometimes a helping hand is the key to a full and joyful life. Through the use of individualised one-on-one plans, we empower individuals and their families to live their ideal life, celebrating diverse abilities, and promoting the experience, learning, and success of every individual living with a disability.

Foster & Maintain Friendships

We work to provide regular opportunities for participants to foster and maintain friendships with those around them. Creating a community of our own where everyone feels like they belong allows our participants to get to know each other and nurture their connections with everyone around them. In turn, those same skills that we foster are easily translated into other areas of life, encouraging them to make friends in other pursuits in life at their own pace.

Mutually
Beneficial

Life is all about learning and growing. As you receive support with us, your capacity for independence grows. In turn, we understand that every person is unique with their own aspirations, challenges, and passions. Every person living with a disability that we have the opportunity to work with, helps us to grow as people, encouraging us to continue providing the best support possible. Our growth is together.

Exceptional Quality Service

We strive to regularly provide the best. From an expansive program that covers a wide range of interests, special interest activities, and major events. Our programs are always tailored around our client’s goals and passions, in the community and at our Target Hill Hub.

Tailored
Support

When we get to know you, we can curate what items will be on the program. Passionate about animals? We have a variety of options from visiting nature reserves to working with animal welfare charities. Enjoy games and stories? We visit the major conventions here in Adelaide and have an engaging Dungeons and Dragons program. Want to get back into sports and recreational fun? We have our basketball teams, on site pool, and regularly enjoy active adventures in the community. From shared social programs to your individual support, we strive to support everyone’s passions.

Live your Ideal
Life

By focusing on empowering individuals towards independence, people living with a disability are able to strive towards the life they aspire too. We have guided people towards Supported Independent Living, saving up to buy their own home, hosting social gatherings with their friends, and much more. Whatever your lifestyle goals, knowing that you can gives you strength.

We acknowledge that Enabling Independence operates on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people and that we respect their spiritual relationship with their country.

We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.

We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded, and we pay our respects to the cultural authority of Aboriginal people visiting/attending from other areas of South Australia and Australia.
